On the last day of the camp we went to the beach to have some fun.
My student, Si Li did our class proud by clinching the best female camper award. What a moment that was. Well Done! Simply Awesome!

When you are camping or go resorting in an island, a must have activity is to be running around its beach when the sun rises in the morning. What a beauty the surrounding accentuates as the sun breaks the horizon of the skyline. There you see, behind me is really something nature gives to mankind, ' A mesmerizing, breathtaking and exasperating dawn'.

I was practically running around the island 3 times a day, morning, noon and midnight. The photo shows the night view of our mainland Singapore from St John's island . If you look at it closely, you will see our world's largest observatory, The Singapore Flyer.
Our kids were having their confidence trail during nighttime.

Do they looked like refuges from third world country seeking freedom in a refuges camp.
Now there is a story to this bigger than human size chess set. It was said that the during the Japanese occupation, Prisoners of War (POW) were brought to this island for lockup. As the Japanese soldiers were bored, they came up with the idea of having a real life chess to ease their boredom. So POWs were used as pawn in the chess! As their Pawn were 'eaten' up up the other opponent they will kill him off on the spot. What inhumane and cruelty that was. It was certainly an utterly disgusting and unforgivable war time crime that went unpunished.
