At the close of the email, normally the sender will used "Regards, Best regards, or Warmest regards".Would it appropriate to use the word "Cheers"?
Despite what some popular writers have suggested, email is no different from other types of communication in that the formality of what you write will vary depending on who you are writing to and the circumstances in which you are writing. Thus, if you are writing to a friend, it might be quite appropriate to close with the word 'Cheers'. However, if you are writing to a new customer, you will probably need to be more formal and use a closing such as 'Regards' or even 'Yours sincerely'.
